Commodore Fire Department based in PA is a rural 100% volunteer department with a first due area of about 75 square miles with about 15 active members. We run on average 165 Fire / Rescue calls, and 400 QRS calls. We run a 1993 HME Engine, a 2002 E-One Engine/Rescue soon to be replaced with a 2007 Spartan Engine / Rescue, a 2014 KME 3000 gallon tanker, a 2007 Brush / Utility, a 2022 Chevrolet 2500 QRS truck, and a 2022 Polaris Ranger UTV.
Originally our patch was simply the outline of our home township. In 2007 we hosted our county's firefighters convention and decided it was time for a logo and patch update. Our local high school mascot is a Red Dragon. That combined with the fire breathing nature of dragons in naturally made for new logo idea.
