-The Forreston Fire Protection District (IL) formed in 1948 after taking over the community fire department. This added the rural area.
-Currently operate with 10 apparatus
-We cover 82.5 square miles including our town and three other small villages
-One of the first SAM pumping units from Hale
-Great mix of old school firefighting but incorporating the newest technologies we can get our hands on.
